Liverpool's striking SENSATION earns CALL UP to Germany squad
A Liverpool youngster is about to make a name for himself at international level.
It is no surprise that the Reds academy has produced numerous talent over the years, but now it seems that more youth players than ever are getting called up to represent their country.
In recent weeks, academy player and dual-national Karim Ahmed has been called-up to Egypt’s U20 squad for their upcoming AFCON qualifiers, which take place in November. This was surprising as Ahmed is still only 17 years old and has been playing only at U18 level for Liverpool.

Rio Ngumoha, who has had an impressive start on Merseyside has been called up to the England U17 squad for their European Championships qualifiers later this month, meaning the 16-year-old will miss some key Liverpool fixtures.
Now another youngster is set to join that list.
Joseph gets Germany call-up
Academy star Vincent Joseph has been called up to Germany’s U15 national team and flew out there yesterday to participate in a training camp. He was the only player playing outside of Germany to receive a call-up.
Its hardly surprising that Joseph made the squad. He has been a prolific goal scorer for Liverpool U16's already this season, scoring hat-tricks against Stockport and Everton just this month alone.
Being selected for the Germany U16 squad is a significant achievement with the teenage striker only recently being called up to the U15s side for the first time a month ago.
Joseph joins elite list of German nationals
Joseph will join an elite list of Liverpool players who have been called up for Die Mannschaft at all levels. The most notable in recent years is Emre Can who captains the first team.
Other academy prospects include Samed Yesil, Stephen Sama and Melkamu Frauendorf, who were called up to Germany’s youth teams after impressing in Liverpool's academy.
Yesil in particular scored 20 goals in 21 appearances for the U17 side but hasn't played for Germany since 2012/13 and never received a senior call-up.
Another player who has represented Germany is former academy star Paul Glatzel who joined Swindon Town earlier this year. Glatzel played for England at under-15 and under-16 level, but switched to Germany at under-18 level.
