Slot fixes Klopp mistake
Arne Slot appears to see something in Darwin Nunez that Jurgen Klopp no longer could. That's according to a journalist's new claim.
De Telegraaf journalist Marcel van der Kraan understands that Arne Slot saw something in Darwin Nunez that Jurgen Klopp didn't. The German has apparently 'written off' the striker but his successor felt that was too much.
Instead, Slot has Nunez playing in a new kind of role - that of a striker who's looking to defend.
“Nunez had been written off by Jurgen Klopp, but the first thing Slot saw: that boy can run," said Van der Kraan, per Voetbal Zone. "

Klopp reveals truth over Red Bull role
Jurgen Klopp has spoken for the first time since taking his controversial job with Red Bull. The former Liverpool man doesn't entirely understand the uproar.
Jurgen Klopp is the head of global football operations with Red Bull. Or at least, he will be starting in January.
The German took the role in a very surprising move, given Red Bull's controversial standing in football. That's particularly the case in Germany, where many see them as a soulless enterprise looking to exploit football for advertising and little else.
And so Klopp, often seen as the face of German football and someone who actually battles back against commercialisation, shocked people by taking the job.

Van Dijk's advice for Nyoni
Trey Nyoni is generating a lot of hype at Liverpool - and the Reds have a plan for him.
It really feels as though Trey Nyoni will be the next great youngster to come out of Liverpool's academy. The Reds signed him from Leeds United last year and in no time at all, he was generating first-team hype.
Jurgen Klopp was a huge fan and it appears Arne Slot is, too. The Dutchman used Nyoni a lot in pre-season and allowed him to play multiple positions.
The next step is earning a regular spot in and around the first team - but we all need to be patient. Nyoni only turned 17 in June, after all.

Salah tells Slot he's crazy
Ruben Amorim is currently the strong favourite to become the next Manchester United manager following the sacking of Erik ten Hag on Monday.
Discussions are reported to be underway between Man Utd and Sporting CP over a compensation package for Amorim, who is said to have already verbally agreed to move to Old Trafford.
Amorim was for some time considered the runaway favourite to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. After the trail for Xabi Alonso went cold, Amorim moved into pole position for the Anfield role but owing to a variety of factors he ended up pledging his future to Sporting.
