But in the background rumours around his future keep bubbling to the surface. With less than six months left on his current deal, time is running out for Liverpool to come to an agreement.
It's getting to a stage in the negotiations where there will be a point of no return. The summer is fast approaching and both parties will need to know what the future holds in order to make the necessary preparations.
And it looks like that is the way the negotiations are heading. Apparently, Salah has set an extraordinary deadline to resolve his future at the club.
Salah's extraordinary contract deadline
According to the latest reports, Salah's future could be resolved in the matter of weeks. Egyptian outlet Masrawy has claimed that February has been a period of calm between the two parties.
That is because according to them, March is going to be the deadline for Liverpool to come to an agreement with Salah. Referring to a source close to Salah, Masrawy claim that extraordinarily Salah's future could be resolved in the matter of weeks.
It is claimed Liverpool are expected to make another offer to Salah and his representatives next month which will determine what the Egyptian ultimately decides.
The report mentions that sources have already indicated that there have been approaches made by Saudi Pro League clubs to Salah and that Paris Saint Germain are also monitoring his situation from afar.
Salah is of course free to negotiate with clubs from abroad having entered the last six months of his deal.
The fact that he hasn't started serious negotiations yet is definitely a good sign. It suggests he is committed to wait for another Liverpool offer.
Clearly, his priority is to stay at Anfield.
However, a lot hinges on what Liverpool's reported offer will be in March. If that offer is also unsatisfactory to Salah's desires then the future will look very bleak for the Reds.
