Why Jarell Quansah is admired by Inter Milan
Jarell hasn’t had the greatest start to the 2024/25 season. He was in the starting eleven for Arne Slot’s opening Premier League game against Ipswich Town.
But as half-time was called, the Reds manager took the bold decision to sub the 21-year-old off.
Many fans were confused about why this occurred but Slot explained in his post-match interview that he was not winning enough aerial duels.
Since then, Jarell has not had a sniff in the team being on the bench for the past 3 games without coming on with Ibrahima Konate being preferred as Virgil van Dijk’s partner.
This lack of game time is concerning as this young talent will want to be playing as much first-team football as he can.
Now, interlive.it are reporting that sporting director Piero Ausilio is eying up a move for the Reds centre-half.
The website states that central defenders Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij’s time is running out due to their contracts expiring next summer, but also because of their age with Inter seeking out younger prospects.

The article further identifies that Inter “really like Quansah”. “He is considered the ideal man to be deployed as a pure central defender, in the heart of the defence. His cost, moreover, is in line with the club's parameters, given that he could leave for €20 million.”
If the game time does not increase for Jarell, he will definitely be considering a move and with his low price tag, it wouldn't be surprising if it wasn't just Inter asking about his situation in the next transfer window.
Why Jarell Quansah is 'outstanding'
Quansah is a huge prospect, and he showed that in pre-season.
He even impressed a former legend at the club in Gary McAllister in the way he was able to instigate chances on the ball.
“I think Quansah’s pass up the side here to find Mo Salah in the build-up to Curtis’ goal was outstanding,” Mac Allister said on The Official Liverpool FC Podcast.
“He could easily have just played it forward, booted it in behind but he just curled it up the side.
“I think he’s been faultless,” McAllister added. “He’s been impeccable right across all the games. He’s been class, he’s a class act.”
