Kvicha Kvaratskhelia latest: Fabrizio Romano update gives Liverpool HOPE
The news that Kvicha Kvaratskhelia was suddenly up for grabs came as a shock to the footballing world on Thursday night.
It emerged that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were in talks with to secure the services of the Georgian superstar, with Napoli setting an €80m asking price.

This does feel like a reasonable fee for the winger and set into motion Premier League interest in him - least of all from Liverpool.
And earlier today Liverpool were buoyed by a report that PSG currently can’t match the €80m fee despite offering him a sizeable salary to try and push it over the line.
On top of this is the rumour that Napoli favour Federico Chiesa and Liverpool could use him in any deal they try and make for Kvaratskhelia.
And the transfer wheel didn’t stop spinning there, as Napoli have embarked on another Premier League deal.
Napoli open route for Kvaratskhelia to Liverpool
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, the Italian side are agreeing a deal with Bournemouth for out of favour midfielder Philip Billing.
This will be a loan deal with an up-to €10m option to buy in the summer.
And, interestingly, Napoli will completely cover his salary for the rest of the season.
Usually there is a split agreement for loans, with clubs not being willing to take on the full financial burden for players that they are not sure will be with them for too long.
As a result, it suggests that Napoli may be expecting a sizeable financial incoming soon. In the region of €80m, perhaps.
And if PSG can’t afford it then all additional factors put Liverpool well and truly in the driving seat.
And even though Liverpool have two very good left-wingers on their books in Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo, Diaz’s recently play through the middle and reported refusal to sign a new contract with the club means that Liverpool’s attacking ranks will need bolstering sooner rather than later.
They opportunistically signed Chiesa in the summer. Richard Hughes and co. know what it takes to get a quick deal like this over the line.
And they may just be about to pull off a blockbuster.
