The countdown to the summer transfer window is well and truly on and we have all the latest Liverpool transfer news today (Thursday May 30).

The Reds are already being linked with multiple targets as they look to retool their squad after the departure of Jurgen Klopp and the arrival of Arne Slot.

Kelleher drops exit hint

Caoimhin Kelleher has given the clearest indication yet that he will be LEAVING Liverpool during the upcoming transfer window.

Although the Irish international managed over 25 appearances in Liverpool’s goal last season  - collecting another Carabao Cup title along the way -  he is set to bring the curtain down on his career on Merseyside this summer after five seasons at the club.

While the goalkeeper admits he would LOVE to become Liverpool’s No.1 someday, he knows that is not likely to happen

“It would be great if that happened at Liverpool, but I’m not silly,” he told The Athletic. “I know that Ali [Alisson Becker] has been the best goalkeeper in the world for years.

“I’ve had such an amazing time at Liverpool. It’s been a crazy journey for me and one that I’ve absolutely loved. I love the club, I love the fans and I have a great relationship with the players and the staff. Whether it’s here at Liverpool or somewhere else, I do feel the next step for me is to be a No 1.”

Rodrygo rejects Madrid departure claims

Reported Liverpool transfer target Rodrygo has hit back at suggestions that his future could lie away from Real Madrid, describing the Spanish capital side as ‘the club of my life’.

Article continues under the video

Earlier this week, the Brazilian granted an interview with DAZN, in which the question of his future came up.

When asked whether he could see himself with Madrid for the rest of his career, Rodrygo replied: "Yes, well, anything can happen. I have a contract here, but I don't know."

“A very annoying situation occurred today, where one of my interviews was completely taken out of context,” he wrote on the social networking site X, formerly Twitter.

“To be very direct, I am VERY happy at Real Madrid, I live a dream every day and it does NOT cross my mind to leave the club of my life!

Now we continue with history to make.

For the 15. HALA MADRID AND NOTHING MORE!”

Madrid are chasing their 15th European title and face Borussia Dortmund at Wembley in the Champions League final on Saturday.

Reds get Koopmeiners boost

Liverpool face significant competition in the race to sign Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, with Italian giants Juventus making a move to get ahead in the battle to sign him.

The Reds have long been linked with the 26-year-old Dutch playmaker, who was instrumental in helping the Bergamo outfit claim Europa League glory this season.

That run to the final of course included a quarter-final success over Jurgen Klopp's men. Juventus though are big admirers of Koopmeiners, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport they have already formulated their opening offer to Atalanta.

Per the respected Italian daily, it may not be successful though as the €40 million plus €5m in add-ons will fall well short of the €60m valuation Atalanta have for their talented star man

Gazzetta reports that Juventus have a contingency plan though, which could be to insert their Dutch-born defender Dean Huijsen into the deal as a makeweight.

Huijsen has just returned to Turin after a loan spell with Roma, and is also interesting Borussia Dortmund.

Feyenoord ace wants Liverpool or Arsenal

Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow admits he is keen on a reunion with Arne Slot at Liverpool amid reports of interest from Merseyside. However, the Reds will face competition from Arsenal for the Dutchman's signature.

Liverpool’s interest in the 26-year-old predates Slot’s appointment as head coach, according to reports in the Netherlands, and club staff have scouted the Dutch international on numerous occasions over the course of the past season.

“Would I stay at Feyenoord? You never know, do you? That’s football. You don’t know that,” he told Voetbalzone.

“I’m ambitious, I’ve always said that. If the opportunity presents itself and a good club comes from abroad, I am open to it.

“As long as I am under contract with Feyenoord, that is never a punishment and I will give everything as long as I play there.

“Those [Liverpool and Arsenal] are two very nice clubs. Of course it is always nice to be mentioned at big clubs.

“What I’m just saying: I’m ambitious. As long as I play for Feyenoord I will give everything for that and first I just want to focus on the Dutch team.”

Gravenberch pledges future to Liverpool

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch says he's happy at Anfield and wants to stay - despite speculation he could leave this summer.

The 22-year-old Dutchman showed flashes of real promise in starting 26 Premier League games following a big-money move from Bayern Munich last year. But in recent weeks he has been consistently linked with a transfer to Turkey this summer.

Gravenberch though says he has no intention of leaving Merseyside after just one season,

telling Dutch outlet AD

: “I hope to play here at Liverpool for years to come, it’s a top club.

“And soon a Dutch trainer with Arne Slot. I've never spoken to him, not even during my time as an Ajax player. But he is a trainer who likes attacking football. That should suit me, you would think. We will see.”

Reds will ask for £20m for Van den Berg

Liverpool have set a valuation of £20 million for Sepp van den Berg, according to James Pearce of the Athletic.

However, the Dutch defender’s future won’t be sorted until new head coach Arne Slot makes his assessment of the squad.

It was reported in Germany last week that Van den Berg could be on the move to Mainz for a fee as little as €5m (£4.3m).

But the latest news out of Anfield would appear to end those rumours, with Southampton, Brentford and Wolfsburg now also named as suitors by Pearce.
