Liverpool FC news: Jurgen Klopp's impressive Crystal Palace record

Liverpool know they could feasibly finish the weekend top of the Premier League table, but they must leave Selhurst Park with three points on Saturday.

The Reds travel to Crystal Palace in the weekend's early kick-off, looking to build on back-to-back victories over Fulham and Sheffield United that have seen them climb to second in the league.

Liverpool only sit behind Arsenal in the table, but the Gunners face a tricky journey to third-placed Aston Villa on Saturday evening, with Manchester City having just lost 1-0 at Villa Park on Wednesday.

Therefore, there is plenty of pressure on Jurgen Klopp's side to capitalise on dropped points for Arsenal or Villa this weekend, and the Liverpool boss' impressive record against Crystal Palace bodes well for the Reds.

In fact, Klopp has won more Premier League games against Crystal Palace than any other team, beating the Eagles 12 times in the English top-flight.

That's the same as his Premier League record against West Ham, who Liverpool also beat 3-1 this season. Klopp has beaten Arsenal 12 times as well but some of those came in cup competitions, while he has also won a dozen games against Nurnberg in Germany.

The only two teams that Klopp has enjoyed more victories against in his career are Leicester City (13) and Freiburg (13), Liverpool beating the former 3-1 in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

Out of 16 meetings with Palace, Klopp has won 12, drawn two and lost two. Prior to successive draws with the Eagles last term, the Reds had won 11 in a row against the London club.

Klopp is undefeated against Palace since a double from former Red Christian Benteke in the 2016/17 season.

If all goes to plan, Klopp will take that winning Premier League record against Palace to 13 this Saturday.
