Jurgen Klopp's agent has spoken about the German's future at Liverpool amid uncertainty after recent results.

Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool side have recently faced a lot of criticism after a poor run of results in the Premier League, most notably against Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.

Despite some mutterings that his time could be up on Merseyside, the German's agent has rubbished these claims saying that Klopp "loves the club".

"I can assure [you] that Jürgen Klopp has no intention of resigning from Liverpool FC," Marc Kosicke told Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany.

"The fact that problems could arise this season due to the past intensive season was taken into account by the club's owners before the start of the season.

"Jürgen enjoys the backing of the people in charge and is in regular contact with them. He loves the club, his team and the fans and is determined to continue and successfully complete the transition in Liverpool. He didn't extend his contract until 2026 for nothing."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Even though Liverpool are going through their worst period under Klopp, there is no one the fans trust more than Jurgen to weather this storm.

The people who were saying Klopp should be fired or walk were a minority. Most fans understand that years of not correctly investing in his squad have led to this recent downfall.

This week there have been a lot of rumours saying that FSG are going to let the German sign some players this January transfer window, something that should've been done last summer.

If we're being honest, the Reds probably need at least three players this January to have a decent shot of making the top four. The title race is out of the picture currently but losing top four would be detrimental for the club.

After a much-needed win against Antonio Conte's Tottenham side tonight, things are starting to look a bit better for the Reds.
