Jurgen Klopp has promised there are still more stars to come from Liverpool's academy, following the 5-2 FA Cup win over Norwich on Sunday.

The Reds booked their place in the fifth round with the comfortable win at Anfield, which featured impressive displays from several homegrown stars.

James McConnell provided the cross for fellow academy graduate Curtis Jones for the opener, while Conor Bradley shone at right back, grabbing two assists of his own.

Jarell Quansah continued his own good run of form at the back and Trent Alexander-Arnold came off the bench following his return from injury, completing a quintet of talented players who have risen out of the youth ranks.

Bobby Clark and Owen Beck were also amongst the unused subs this weekend, while Calum Scanlon and Kaide Gordon are among other academy graduates to be given opportunities this season already.

Speaking after the game, Klopp hailed the 'good moment' the academy is in and teased the possibility of more starlets earning breakthroughs in the near future.

The manager told reporters: "You don’t know a few [youth team players] yet!

"Maybe you know them, but they were not with us yet on the pitch. There’s a lot to come still, really, there.

"Today Bobby Clark didn’t come on and I think he did particularly well in the last few games, Trey [Nyoni] and [Jayden Danns] Dannsy are special as well from the Under-18s, [Lewis] Koumas.

"There are a lot of really good players coming up still. The academy is in a good moment, I would say, production-wise. It’s wonderful."

While Clark has made three appearances already this season, the other three young players named are yet to make debuts for Liverpool.

16-year-old midfielder Nyoni was signed from Leicester last summer. The highly rated England youth international has yet to make a senior appearance for the Reds, but has impressed for the Under-21s and already been included in several matchday squads with the first team.

18-year-old striker Danns is the son of Liverpool-born former Blackburn and Crystal Palace star Neil Danns, while 18-year-old Koumas (another forward) also has an ex-footballer father in 34-cap Wales international Jason Koumas.

The pair scored five between them as Liverpool beat Arsenal 7-1 in the FA Youth Cup earlier this month, while Koumas has reportedly been eyed by Championship clubs for a loan move.
