In his most recent pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has spoken about the Manchester City tie on Sunday.

When Klopp was asked what he was expecting on Sunday, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, the German said he expects 'an interesting football game.'

"I'm expecting a good game. I know very often that doesn't happen. But it should be an interesting watch because both teams really go for it.

"Our history with City shows that it's been an interesting watch. Both teams want to create chances and use momentum and gaps in situations - I expect an interesting football game."

Klopp was also asked if the thinks this game is a Premier League title decider.

"If we win, we are two points up - if everyone thinks that it is done and dusted I can't help them. If we lose, or if we draw, 4 points behind or one point behind. I am looking forward to it. I'm really happy we can be part of it."

Finally, the German was asked if he thinks that Liverpool vs Manchester City is the best rivalry in Premier League history.

"It's cool. We could close the gap to City in the last few years. We push each other to incredible point totals. It's madness. We know it's tough.

"What has changed in the last four years is that everybody else thinks it's tough when they face us, and that is good."

Anfield Watch Verdict

The build-up to the most important game of the season is upon us. Surprisingly, there weren't many mind games in Klopp's most recent press conference, something he usually does before a big game.

However, as usual, the German was full of praise for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.

We'll most likely see something very similar in Pep's press conference as they love to hype each other up before the big game.

Klopp himself has said that this is going to be the hardest game of the season but with the form Liverpool are in, you wouldn't bet against them picking up a result at the Etihad.
