Jurgen Klopp gives Mo Salah contract update
Jurgen Klopp has given an update on Mohamed Salah's contract and said that everything is in a good place in a positive-sounding set of comments.
The Egyptian forward's contract is still up in the air at the moment and the last few months have seen a lot of speculation written about that very matter.
However, there is a genuine feeling that both the club and the player want to reach an agreement, and it just remains to be seen if they can meet over the financial side of things.
Klopp is feeling upbeat about the situation, though, with him having this to say in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Arsenal clash tomorrow:
"I know that Mo wants to stay. That's where we are. These things take time, I cannot change it. It's all in a good place."
Anfield Watch Verdict
Salah is a world class footballer and so it would make perfect sense for the Reds to keep him for the remainder of his prime years.
He probably has four or five seasons ahead of him at his very peak and so it would make sense to get him on a contract that will cover that period.
There's a willingness from all involved to get it sorted, but until it is the speculation and the chatter will remain.
