Jurgen Klopp has revealed what he’s been doing since leaving his post as Liverpool manager.

Last Sunday the German manager bid farewell at an emotional Anfield, bringing the curtain down on his nine-year stay on Merseyside.

Klopp, 56, leaves the club a bonafide legend having reestablished the Reds as one of the major forces in European football.

Throughout his tenure, Liverpool regained Premier League and Champions League glory, as well as the Club World Cup, with a host of individual honours also added into the mix.

Klopp announced in January that he would be stepping down at the end of the season, citing fatigue, and it was hoped the Reds could claim glory in a fairytale ending for the manager.

While they succeeded in claiming an EFL Cup, the club ultimately fell short in the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.

That has not prevented Klopp from taking his place in the pantheon of great Liverpool managers, with the former Borussia Dortmund boss given the fondest farewell on Sunday following a 2-0 win against Wolves.

Taking to Instagram and filling in followers on what he’s been up to since leaving the Reds, Klopp thanked fans for the day they gave him last weekend and also disclosed his next move.

Klopp indulging his padel passion

Amid clear blue skies, Klopp revealed that he’s back playing padel, the cross between squash and tennis that is beloved by so many footballers.

Klopp likes the game so much that a court was installed at Liverpool’s training base under his watch and he even released his own signature racket in 2022.

“Now what I’m doing, I try – no, no, I follow – my other big passion. I try to improve my padel game,” he said on an Instagram post

“Started two days ago, today’s my third session and I started on an extremely low level. Didn’t play for a while and felt it immediately but step by step I will get there.”

Klopp has got some events in the diary including a special evening at the M&S Bank Arena and a trip back to Anfield to see Taylor Swift alongside wife Ulla

After that he will have plenty of time to work on his game.
