Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita started against Manchester United at Old Traffod last weekend.

The Guinea international played a pivotal part in helping the Reds secure a 5-0 victory over the Red Devils.

Keita scored and registered an assist in the Premier League fixture.

However, the 26-year-old was forced off the Old Trafford pitch due to a leg injury. The injury occurred as a result of a tackle from Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Once the match had concluded, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed that he will know more about the severity of Keita's injury sometime this week.

Klopp said the following in his post-match press conference (01:58): "We have to see how serious it is [Keita's injury]. Very painful. We will know more tomorrow or the day after. Naby is in a great moment. He's an outstanding player."

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Keita has had a solid start to the 2021-22 campaign. The midfielder is averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.08 in all competitions for the Reds.

Therefore, we do hope that the leg injury that Keita suffered against Manchester United is not too serious.

Keita has picked up a lot of injuries during his time at Anfield. We believe that he deserves a bit of luck when it comes to his health/fitness.
