Jurgen Klopp provides injury update on Liverpool first-team player
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has provided an injury update on Reds midfielder Curtis Jones.
The 20-year-old suffered an eye injury during a recent training session. Jones has missed Liverpool's last two fixtures as a result.
Klopp has revealed that the Scouser is making progress with his recovery. However, the German further added that Jones is still not allowed to complete certain activities.
As quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Klopp told the club's official website the following: “He is good, he is just not allowed to do a lot of things in the moment, we have to wait until the doctors give us a green light. "Curtis is completely fine, he has his eyesight back, all these kinds of things, but the eye is still recovering.”ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
It is a shame to hear that Jones is not 100 percent fit. We can't wait to see the midfielder back out on the pitch.
Jones has had a bright start to the 2021-22 club campaign. The 20-year-old has scored one goal and registered three assists in nine appearances. Jones has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.01.
The aforementioned figures highlight that the Scouser adds quality to Liverpool's midfield.
Therefore, the sooner Jones returns to the pitch, the better. We wish the youngster all the best with the remainder of his recovery.
