Jurgen Klopp shares his exciting Darwin Nunez opinion

Jurgen Klopp has an exciting opinion on Darwin Nunez. The Liverpool boss saw his star score twice against Sparta Prague.

Darwin Nunez stole the show for Liverpool on Thursday evening as he scored two brilliant first-half goals. The Uruguayan even bagged a landmark one - the Reds' 100th goal under Jurgen Klopp.

Nunez's first saw him cut inside and compose himself on the edge of the box before firing a dipping shot over the goalkeeper. It was a much-needed goal (and no.1000) as Sparta Prague had pushed hard for an equaliser.

The Reds' no.9 then essentially won the tie just before half-time as he smashed a brilliant volley into the far corner. Two moments of quality that pulled Liverpool apart from their hosts.

After the game, Klopp was understandably full of praise for his striker. He is also certain about one thing - this is not Nunez at his best.

"He had a more than OK first season but had to adapt, wonderful boy, loves playing for this club with his boys and has quality coming out his ears," Klopp told the press after the game.

"It's like strikers are. Is he at his peak? Not yet, can he develop? Yes. But he's always a threat."

It's difficult to know what Nunez will be like when he does finally peak. Is he going to be the player he is now but with more composure in front of goal? A bit more know-how with his finishing?

Because that's a terrifying prospect. He's already on 16 goals this season with 11 assists to go with them. Nunez has now scored in his last four appearances for Liverpool, too - he's in fantastic form.

And the one 'complaint' has always been how erratic he is with his finishing. If he can iron out the creases there, Liverpool will have a truly ridiculous player.
