Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said that the title race is still very much open and that the Reds will believe that they can do it right up until the moment it is mathematically impossible for them to win the league.

Manchester City are once again setting the pace and though the Reds are closer than they were last season, it looks as though the gap is going to be too big for Liverpool to overcome.

Certainly, it's going to take some effort from the Anfield club but if anyone can do it it is surely this group of players, who have regularly beaten the odds in recent seasons.

Indeed, Jurgen Klopp has cut a hopeful figure over such matters, with him having this to say:

Anfield Watch Verdict

Klopp is a top class man motivator as well as a coach and if anyone can make you believe that the title race is still firmly on, it's surely him.

Yes, the gap to City does not look great but a game in hand and a match against them, in the case both are won, could let the Reds close things down to five points and then it's a different picture altogether.

It will be a huge ask, of course, but there is still time to pull off what would be an amazing title win.
