Jurgen Klopp has offered an important injury update on several first-team players ahead of this Sunday's clash with Brighton, including Darwin Nunez, Ibrahima Konate and Curtis Jones.

Liverpool face the Seagulls in their first match since the March international break, with the Reds needing all three points against the south coast side as they fight for the Premier League title.

Manchester City host Arsenal after Liverpool's clash at Anfield, meaning Klopp's side are capable of taking advantage of dropped points for at least one team in the title picture.

However, injuries continue to prove frustrating on Merseyside, with Klopp offering an update on some of Liverpool's key players ahead of Brighton's visit.

DARWIN NUNEZ AND IBRAHIMA KONATE AVAILABLE VS BRIGHTON

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp confirmed that Nunez and Konate would be available for the clash with Roberto De Zerbi's side - although not everyone is fit for the weekend.

"Curtis, I'm not sure if he is available, but he's back in training. Ibou was an extra rest day, nothing else," said Klopp.

"[Andy] Robertson will take it a little bit day-by-day. He will not train today [Friday] but it's not as bad [as first thought].

"The other boys, from next week on step-by-step. I think they will join parts of team training and then team training, so we will see what we do with that. They're not too far away but not in yet, so they all make their steps - it's positive.

"[Darwin] is fine. He did his rehab during the week and trained partially the first day since we are back, and since then he is in full training."

Liverpool will have to wait a little longer, as Klopp explained, for the likes of Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Stefan Bajcetic and Alisson to return to action, although all are likely to be available in some capacity by the end of April at the latest.
