Jurgen Klopp gives his honest thoughts on a reported Liverpool target
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has given his thoughts on RB Salzburg winger and reported Reds target Karim Adeyemi.
The German was full of praise for the 19-year-old. Klopp believes that Adeyemi is one of the most exciting prospects in football.
As quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Klopp told reporters the following: “They [RB Salzburg] have now with Adeyemi one of the most exciting attacking wingers in football at the moment."Adeyemi's contract expires in June 2024. The German international possesses a current market value of €20 million.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
We would love to see Liverpool sign Adeyemi. As Klopp has pointed out, the winger is an exceptional talent.
Adeyemi has scored 28 goals and registered 19 assists in 78 appearances for RB Salzburg.
The 19-year-old also averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.92 in the 2021-22 Champions League group stages.
Liverpool do possess an ageing forward line. The likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all aged between 28-30.
Therefore, signing a player of Adeyemi's profile would make sense for the club. But, only time will tell if Liverpool are to make a move for the winger.
