Jurgen Klopp shared an update on Alisson Becker this week - but in an unusual way. He handed it out to Liverpool fans on the AXA Training Ground tour.

Alisson Becker has been out for what feels like an age at this point but he should be nearing a return. The Brazilian last played in the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on February 4th, meaning he's missed some of the biggest games this season.

But it appears he'll be back soon. That's according to Jurgen Klopp, who delivered a quick injury update this week.

The unusual thing is that he didn't deliver this update in an interview or a press conference. Instead, he handed it out to fans doing the AXA training ground tour.

Liam Whittle, a fan on the tour, caught part of the exchange on video and posted it to X. Klopp can be heard sharing a pretty clear update on Alisson, in particular.

"Ali? About two and a half, three weeks," he says. "It's not that long anymore, like Diogo [Jota] as well."

Jurgen Klopp shares Alisson update

There will never be another Jurgen Klopp. This is about the most unusual injury update we've ever seen - information the top journalists in the country ask with their opening questions of a press conference.

But here's Klopp just handing it out.

As for the actual information - it means Alisson almost certainly misses the meeting with Manchester United on the 7th. Instead, Liverpool are aiming for the Crystal Palace game a week later or one of the Atalanta clashes that sandwich it.

In other words, Alisson should be back in goal to face Everton on April 24th. That would be a major win - especially if Klopp is right about Jota not being too far behind.

Liverpool have some massive games coming up against the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, not to mention their UEFA Europa League campaign. Having arguably the world's best goalkeeper between the sticks will make a difference, as good as Caoimhin Kelleher has been.
