Jurgen Klopp claims Liverpool are 'not stable yet'
Jurgen Klopp has praised Liverpool's ability to fight back from losing positions, but claimed the Reds are 'not stable yet'.
Liverpool have started the 2023/24 Premier League season strongly, winning four games on the spin, following the opening day draw against Chelsea.
Though they are one of only four undefeated sides remaining in the league, the Reds have had to fight back from losing positions in three matches already this season, most recently in the 3-1 comeback win over Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.
In fact, Liverpool's 3-0 win over Aston Villa before the international break remains their only victory in which they haven't conceded the first goal.
Addressing his side's start to the season and the latest win over Wolves, Klopp conceded that there is still work to do, despite showing 'good signs' so far.
He told Liverpoolfc.com: “We want to create a lot of things during a season and one is obviously mentality, absolutely; it’s spirit, it’s a lot of things, resilience. And yes, we showed a few good signs.
“We showed very well that in good moments we are a really good football team, in lesser-good moments we obviously don’t give up so far.
“But it’s still early days. We are not stable yet, that’s definitely the case, you can see that. But we are on the way. We know that we have good footballers but these good footballers can play bad, like we did in the first half, that’s how it is. But they are much better, we know that as well. Let’s fight through it.
“We all know it: the very good games you win anyway and in the moment when you start winning the lesser-good games that is a good sign.
“Obviously the first half [against Wolves] was not lesser-good, it was absolutely bad, but the second half was especially good. And knowing you can have a reaction like that is helpful, absolutely.”
