Jurgen Klopp will still be reeling after his side left it late to snatch all three points away at Nottingham Forest - but the win isn't all he's taking out of the weekend.

The German manager has been in the dugout at Anfield since October 2015 - a nine-season tenure that will come to the end this summer as he leaves the club after a glory-laden run.

But just as he's about to depart, Klopp has become the longest-serving active manager in England's top four divisions.

This comes after Accrington Stanley, formerly of milk fame, announced the dismissal of tenured boss John Coleman, who had been in charge of the club since 2014.

Coleman's sacking has sparked outrage from the Accrington fanbase, with the club only offering a 43-word statement to reveal the departure of a man who had spent 25 years managing the club across two stints.

Nevertheless, the decision leaves Klopp has the most tenured manager currently active in English professional football - a fitting achievement for such a legendary figure that will soon be on the way out.

Klopp arrived at Liverpool eight years and five months ago, joining a club in dire need of rejuvenation.

He's overseen an astonishing rebuild at Anfield, taking the Reds from obscurity to the top of world football across his nine seasons.

In that time, he's won absolutely everything there is to win - including a Champions League, an FA Cup, a Club World Cup and, of course, a first Premier League title in 30 years.

With fans and players alike hellbent on giving him the sendoff he deserves, the push for a decorated final season is in full force.

The Reds picked up a first piece of silverware last weekend, showing unbelievable heart to overcome injury woes and win a dramatic Carabao Cup final over Chelsea, doing so with a team half made up of academy prospects.

One of the more memorable of the many trophy triumphs under Klopp, it's set the tone for a massive few months under the German, with eyes now set on a potential quadruple.
