Tyler Morton made his full Liverpool debut against Preston North End at the Deepdale Stadium last night.

The midfielder impressed in the aforementioned League Cup clash. During the second half of the match, Morton played a long-range pass which ultimately led to Liverpool scoring the opening goal.

Former Red Jamie Carragher took to Twitter to praise the 18-year-old for his involvement in the goal.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Overall, Morton was excellent against Preston. The midfielder registered a WhoScored player rating of 6.78 for his 90-minute performance against the Championship side.

Morton showed against Preston that he could be a decent senior footballer in the future. But, only time will tell if that is to be the case.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been giving some youngsters an opportunity to play in the League Cup this season

With the Reds progressing to the quarter-finals of the League Cup, it would be fair to assume that Morton might get another opportunity to represent the club's first-team this season.

On another note, Liverpool will face Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield on Saturday. The Premier League fixture will kick-off at 03:00pm.
