Pundit Jamie Carragher believes that Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min could potentially damage Liverpool's Premier League title hopes.

The Reds will welcome Spurs to Anfield on the 7th of May. With Manchester City possessing a one-point lead over Liverpool on the table, the Reds can't afford to be dropping points at this stage of the season.

When the aforementioned fixture comes around, Carragher is under the impression that both Kane and Son could expose the defensive high line that Liverpool have played all season.

The Scouser told Sky Sports Premier League the following (07:32pm, April 25, 2022): “Harry Kane’s passing ability, Son’s diagonal runs, penetrating runs in behind could cause Liverpool a real problem at Anfield.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Kane and Son are terrific players. The Englishman has scored 22 goals and registered nine assists in 45 appearances this season.

Son on the other hand has found the back of the net 18 times and secured eight assists across the 2021-22 campaign.

Therefore, both players certainly possess the end product to punish Liverpool's high line.

Also, Tottenham did secure a 2-2 draw against the Reds in North London earlier this season.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp did admit back in December 2021 that the aforementioned clash was a difficult one for his side.

The German told the club's official website the following: "I'm fine with the result. It's a 2-2 at Tottenham – that's absolutely OK. It was a difficult game for us for plenty of reasons."

So, we are aware that Spurs could be the side to potentially end Liverpool's title hopes. But, the Reds should be confident that they can defeat Tottenham.

The reality is, Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world and have been for a number of years now. Klopp's side can beat anyone on their day.
