Jamie Carragher makes promising prediction for Liverpool's trip to Fulham
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has predicted that the Reds will get back to winning ways in the Premier League this Sunday when they face Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Liverpool made their disappointing exit from the Europa League on Thursday night and return to domestic duties with a trip to Fulham at the weekend.
Having picked up just one point from their last two Premier League games, the Reds' title aspirations have taken a significant hit as they hunt a perfect farewell for the departing Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool need to be significantly better than they have been in recent games when they visit west London on Sunday, with Carragher backing Klopp's men to sneak a win.
JAMIE CARRAGHER'S FULHAM VS LIVERPOOL PREDICTION
Making his weekend predictions for Sky Sports, Carragher predicted Liverpool to manage a narrow win at Craven Cottage, with the Reds having won two and drawn one of their three meetings with the capital side this season.
Backing the Reds for a 2-1 win against Marco Silva's side, Carragher stated: "This is another tough game for Liverpool after an away fixture in Atalanta, but I think they will win late with having a strong bench."
With Manchester City in FA Cup action this Saturday - a semi-final that Carragher thinks they will win 2-0 against Chelsea - Liverpool have the chance to apply some light pressure to the reigning champions.
Arsenal are also in Premier League action on Saturday evening as they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers and a victory at Molineux would see the Gunners return to the top of the table.
Carragher has predicted a narrow 1-0 win for Mikel Arteta's men, stating: "Arsenal will get back to being defensively sound and have enough to win the game."
If Arsenal drop points in the Midlands and Liverpool beat Fulham, then the Reds would finish the weekend at the summit of the Premier League.
