Journalist James Pearce has confirmed that Liverpool are still interested in West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen.

The Reds were linked with a move for the 24-year-old last summer. However, Liverpool did not end up signing Bowen (obviously).

However, Pearce has stated that the Reds are still keeping an eye on the Englishman.

Pearce told The Athletic the following: "We revealed back in the summer that Bowen was on LFC’s shortlist for attacking targets. I can see why given his outstanding form so far this season.

"There’s certainly interest but that’s as far as it goes currently. He’s on a long contract. One to keep an eye on."

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

It is great to hear that Liverpool are still interested in Bowen. The winger can certainly play.

Bowen has scored 12 goals and registered 15 assists in 70 appearances for West Ham United.

The 24-year-old is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.42 in the early stages of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.

The aforementioned figures highlight that Bowen is a capable young senior footballer. Therefore, we would love to see the club make a move for the Englishman in the near future.

Bowen's contract expires in the summer of 2025. Bowen possesses a current market value of €30 million.

Only time will tell if Liverpool are to make an official offer for the winger.
