"I've said it a couple of times" - Jurgen Klopp on his managerial ability

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has recently spoken about his ability as a manager.

The 54-year-old has had a very successful career as a coach. Klopp took Mainz from Germany's second division of football to the Bundesliga in 2004.

Shortly after, Klopp won back-to-back Bundesliga titles (2010-12) with Borussia Dortmund. The German even took Dortmund to the Champions League final in 2013. But, Bayern Munich secured a 2-1 victory over Klopp's side.

Klopp then became the manager of Liverpool in 2015. Everything he has touched at Anfield has turned to gold.

Klopp has won the Champions League, Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League title and the League cup with the Reds.

But, the 54-year-old has implied that he would not have been able to achieve anything without his assistants.

As quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Klopp told BT Sport the following: "I've said it a couple of times and I say it because it's 100 per cent the truth, I'm an okay manager. Together with my boys I am a pretty good Premier League manager.

"We all know that. We are very close. Together with Pete (Krawietz), Pep (Lijnders), Vitor (Matos) and meanwhile the fitness guys and all these kind of things. We are really close and that's what I love, I never had to change."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Klopp is a world-class manager. His achievements in the game back up the aforementioned argument.

But, we do love that Klopp credited his assistants at Liverpool in his most recent interview with BT Sport. Without the help of others, the job would be a lot more difficult.

The reality is, one person can't do everything at a football club. Therefore, it was nice to see Klopp give some credit to those who go unnoticed by many.
