Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has revealed that he would like to win the Premier League title this season.

The Brazilian and his teammates have secured the biggest trophy in English football under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp (2020).

However, due to the pandemic, the players were not able to celebrate with the supporters.

With that being the case, Fabinho is determined to win the league title again.

As quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter, he told The Athletic the following: “It’s the memories that inspire you. Winning the Champions League final was one of the best days of my life. We remember winning the Premier League and not having the opportunity to celebrate that properly with our fans because of the pandemic.

“That gives us added motivation to win it again. We really want to do that and be there with our fans. The parade this year was exceptional. We want to have a parade every year. We want to keep giving back to the fans because what they do for this club is unbelievable.

“The goal is to be a better team and keep winning big trophies as a team. That’s how you put your names in the history of the club.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

It would be brilliant to see Liverpool claim the league title again, especially with COVID-19 restrictions no longer impacting fans attending matches.

But, the Reds will have to perform well if they are to topple Manchester City. The Citizens have won four of the past five league titles.

Manchester City have also signed goal machine Erling Haaland this summer. So, Liverpool will have to perform extremely well to claim a 20th league title this season.

We wish the team all the best ahead of the new campaign. It will be brilliant to see the Reds back in action.
