Manchester City's Erling Haaland has spoken about the rivalry between Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola.

Speaking to Manchester Evening News, as quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, the forward spoke about his experience with being on the receiving end of Klopp and Guardiola teams.

He said: “It’s been insane to see Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola pushing each other, all the players, fans, everyone. To be outside watching this, everybody talking about it, pushing each other to the very last game - it’s not often that happens.

“I think it's really good for England and also good for the clubs to push each other to reach the next level. It's really important and it has been nice to watch. It's good that we push each other, that's what we want. I like it a lot.

“I played against Liverpool when I was at Salzburg, I played against City with Dortmund and it's nice and special. Everyone feels something special and that is something I live for in big games as well.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

In terms of managers, people will say that the rivalry between Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger was the best in Premier League history, but I disagree.

It might've been fierier but quality-wise, Manchester City and Liverpool are two of the best teams in the world and they have been for about five seasons now.

The consistency that these two managers get out of their players every year is nothing short of a miracle.

Klopp is more of a man manager. His teams play at 100%, putting their heart on their sleeve and giving everything they have for that 90 minutes.

Guardiola's sides are intricate, playing more in the style of his old Barcelona team. Beating teams by passing their way through them.

The two managers play styles which are brilliant to watch and the fact that we get to witness both methods every season is amazing.
