“It’s deeper than a sulking" - Pundit takes aim at Mohamed Salah

Pundit Richard Keys has taken aim at Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian international has looked a bit lethargic this season. In fact, Keys believes that Salah is "sulking" out on the pitch.

The 65-year-old further added that he could see Reds boss Jurgen Klopp dropping Salah for Sunday's Premier League clash against Manchester City at Anfield.

“It’s deeper than a sulking Salah being way off the mark. He couldn’t kick a steady arse right now. Why? I could understand a slow start if he’d got better. But he hasn’t,” Keys wrote on his blog.

“And we haven’t seen anything from him since the African Cup of Nations. Nothing.

“Klopp took him off Sunday (against Arsenal at the Emirates) – I wonder if he’ll consider not starting him in the next league game.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

With Luis Diaz suffering an injury against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last weekend, we would be very surprised if Klopp dropped Salah for Liverpool's upcoming clash against Manchester City.

Also, the reality is, the forward is a world-class player. Salah has scored 161 goals and registered 67 assists in 266 appearances for Liverpool's first-team.

In a must-win game, there is no way Klopp would consider dropping his star player. Manchester City will be hard to beat.

The Citizens have scored 33 goals and only conceded nine in nine Premier League fixtures this season.

Liverpool will have to be at their best if they are to defeat Manchester City come the weekend.
