"It’s an unbelievable season" - Jurgen Klopp reflects on the 2021-22 campaign

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reflected on the 2021-22 campaign.

The Reds challenged for the quadruple this season, but only managed to walk away with two trophies.

Despite that being the case, Klopp has made it clear that he is delighted with how his team approached the campaign.

The 54-year-old further added that his side deserved the parade around the city of Liverpool despite not claiming the Premier League title or Champions League.

"It’s an unbelievable season," Klopp told the club's official website, as quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter.

"What the boys did is unbelievable, what the coaches did is unbelievable. The concentration we kept up, the level we kept, unbelievable. All good. Now I have a holiday!"

He added: "We celebrate life, we celebrate the season, we celebrate our competitions, we celebrate the championship.

"I’m proud of the players but I’m proud of these people, to be honest. Unbelievable. Yesterday in the stadium some things happened that nobody understood, our families were in trouble, all these kinds of things.

"Now we come here and see this, when you see the eyes of the people, it’s incredible. That’s the best sign you can get: you don’t have to win, you just need to put all that you have in, really throw everything on the pitch and the people of Liverpool love you."

Klopp has every right to be proud of his team. At Anfield Watch, we have never seen a Liverpool side as competitive as the one that the German has assembled.

It is a privilege to watch the Reds on a weekly basis.

We can't wait to see what Liverpool do in the summer transfer window. Klopp has made very few bad signings during his time at Anfield.

Hopefully the trend continues and Liverpool push on next season. But, only time will tell if that is to be the case.

The 2022-23 Premier League campaign will begin on the 6/7th of August.
