Liverpool will face Inter Milan in the last-16 of the Champions League.

However, the Serie A side will be without midfielder Nicolo Barella for the first leg, which takes place at the San Siro.

The 24-year-old was sent off in a 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the group stages for a punch on Eder Militao.

Barella could also miss the second leg if he is given a two-match ban.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Barella is a good player. The midfielder has scored eight goals and registered 29 assists in 109 appearances for Inter Milan.

Barella has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.31 in the early stages of the 2021-22 Serie A campaign.

Therefore, the 24-year-old's absence no doubt aids Liverpool's chances of claiming a result over Inter Milan. But, the Reds will still have to perform in both legs to progress to the quarter-finals.

Inter Milan sit in first-place on the Serie A table, which highlight that they are a good side.

The first leg will take place at the San Siro on the 16th of February. The second leg on the other hand will take place at Anfield on the 8th of March.
