"Incredibly important game" - Jurgen Klopp on Tuesday's game against Manchester United

Jurgen Klopp has spoken about Tuesday's opponent, Manchester United, in his most recent press conference.

Speaking in his pre-Manchester United press conference, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Klopp said that this game is 'incredibly important' for both sides.

"We have had to learn to deal with playing Manchester United. Some players had to learn how to deal with it. This time it's an incredibly important game again for both teams. That says it all. Both teams are fighting," said Klopp.

"We would have always been focused on this game regardless of what had happened on Saturday. Focus will not be our problem - we know it is a massive one.

"The Manchester United we will face, they will go for it. They want to go to the Champions League. It will be an intense 90 minutes. We have to make sure they don't take our points to get there."

Klopp also spoke about Ralf Rangnick's side and what the German has improved since he arrived at Old Trafford.

"I think Ralf tried to organise them with a clear structure," said Klopp. "That is what he did. United have played some really good games, but even when they win, it's difficult to gain momentum. But they concede less now for sure.

"They are a quality team - you have to be so consistent to reach the Champions League."

Anfield Watch Verdict

There is no doubt that Klopp's Liverpool should be beating this Manchester United side. They struggled to beat 20th placed Norwich in their most recent game.

With five key players also out due to injury, we could see a similar scoreline to the 5-0 at Old Trafford earlier this season. With Liverpool also having no injuries, Rangnick would do very well to rally his side at Anfield tomorrow.

Hopefully, Klopp and his players can put this game to bed early so we can focus on the Champions League semi-final against Villarreal next week.
