Jurgen Klopp's mentality monsters have reached a new level after their comeback win over Brighton, stats show.

Liverpool recovered from conceding early to beat the Seagulls 2-1 in Sunday's Premier League encounter, with goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah guiding the Reds to a vital three points.

It's something fans have gotten used to in nine seasons under Klopp - you can simply never write this Liverpool side out of a game, even if the odds look well out of their favour.

But incredibly, Liverpool have now reached completely new heights in terms of their ability to recover from losing positions.

According to Opta, Liverpool have won seven Premier League games in which they were behind this season, now their outright most ever in a single campaign in the competition.

It's indicative of Liverpool's never-say-attitude, something which has been amplified this season by the imminent departure of Klopp.

If it wasn't for their tendency to come from behind, the Reds simply wouldn't be in this title race - and should they be crowned champions come May, they will have their mentality to thank for it.

That said, this wasn't the only notable milestone passed during Sunday's Anfield outing.

After a sensational performance, Alexis Mac Allister emerged from the game having now provided as many assists for Liverpool in the Premier League (5) in 24 games as he did for Brighton in 98 games, according to Sqauwka.

Salah also discovered that he likes playing Brighton more than Manchester United.

He has been directly involved in more Premier League goals against the Seagulls than any other side, scoring nine goals and bagging six assists in 14 games.

It may have been a nervy performance, but Liverpool have come out of Easter Sunday with a smile on their face.
