Jordan Henderson and Jurgen Klopp have praised Sadio Mane for his amazing header that won Liverpool the game against Aston Villa.

Speaking in his post-match interview, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Henderson jokingly attributed Mane's goal to the amount of time he spends in the gym.

"His performances are always incredible, it's all the gym work he does to generate the power in that header! That got us the three points. We keep going," said Henderson.

"Sadio Mane's performances have always been incredible. The amount of work he does for the team off the ball, defending at the end but he also has the quality in and around the box. It was an incredible finish and he gets us the three points."

Klopp also spoke about Mane's goal, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, saying how impressed he was with Luis Diaz and Sadio's link-up play for the goal.

"The whole situation was class. It was top class. Luis crossing in a moment when nobody expected it apart from Sadio," Klopp said.

"We did not have time to train and work on it and I am happy in this moment he pretended to shoot and crossed. It is difficult for the goalie and all of a sudden he puts his head there and it is nice and soft but it was a goal."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Mane has come in clutch once again. Ever since he returned from AFCON, he has been a man possessed. He is also thriving in his new false nine role.

Thankfully this form is coming now as with two finals on the horizon, we need all of our front players firing on all cylinders.

Hopefully, he can keep this up as he and Diaz will be a handful for any team to face.

If Mohamed Salah can also refind his form from earlier this season, Chelsea, Southampton, Wolves and Real Madrid better watch out.
