Anfield Watch Verdict

We do hope to see Liverpool sign a midfielder in the near future. The reality is, the Reds do possess an ageing midfield.

The likes of Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Thiago are all above the age of 30.

With that being the case, Liverpool do need to have an eye to the future. The Reds have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The Englishman is a talented youngster. Bellingham has scored seven goals and registered 13 assists in 70 appearances for Borussia Dortmund's first-team.

The 18-year-old has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.26 in the Bundesliga this season. Therefore, we would love to see Liverpool make a move for Bellingham in the near future.

The England international won't come cheap. Bellingham's contract expires in June 2025. The midfielder possesses a current market value of €75 million.
