Ibrahima Konate has one big complaint as Liverpool stars receive EA Sports FC 24 ratings

Liverpool’s FIFA ratings reaction video has been one to look out for every year, and it certainly wasn’t a let-down this time around.

Despite the rebranding to EA Sports FC 24, the game – and those player ratings – remain a hotly anticipated part of the footballing calendar.

With this year's edition released on Friday 29 September, Ibrahima Konate and Diogo Jota took the reins away from Virgil van Dijk to reveal the new EA Sports FC 24 ratings to a number of Reds players in a video posted on the club's official YouTube channel – and it’s safe to say not everyone was happy.

The French and Portuguese pair were the first to look at their ratings, with Konate receiving an 81 and Jota an 85.

“Who is faster than me in this team? Konate questioned in reaction to his 77 pace, adding: “I don’t think there is someone faster than me.”

Darwin Nuñez was more positive, providing a simple “wow!” as his reaction to his 82 rating.

The Uruguayan’s 90 pace didn’t seem to cheer up the mood of Konate one bit.

Alexis Mac Allister matched Nuñez with an 82 rating. “Anyone with a World Cup has to have 85, minimum,” was Konate’s reaction. He joked: “But I don’t care because you won the World Cup against me!”

Alisson Becker received one of the highest scores in the squad with 89, and is one of the game's top-rated players. Meanwhile, it was 79 for new boy Ryan Gravenberch and 86 for Andy Robertson – who, to Konate’s shock, had a much higher pace than the Frenchman.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai were next up. The right-back received an 86 and as is the same every year, wasn’t happy – even with his 90 passing.

Szoboszlai had an 82 rating, and was certainly unhappy with his 34 defending, while Gakpo received an 83 rating on one of the rare occasions that a player seemed content with his number.

"How is it possible? Everyone is quicker than me in this team, bro!" Konate exclaimed when looking at the Dutch forward's card.

Konate and Jota even managed to track down Joel Matip, who wasn’t hanging around for long.

“I don’t expect anything, it just kills my mood!” said the much-loved centre back when told of his 80 rating.

Harvey Elliot was next up, with a 77 rating, the same as Kostas Tsimikas, while 17-year-old starlet Ben Doak received his first every rating, a creditable bronze 62.

Luis Diaz was the last player to get his card, an 84 overall, as well as an impressive 91 pace.
