Liverpool's latest signing Darwin Nunez has waxed lyrical about the club's training facility.

The Reds moved from Melwood to the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby back in 2020. The new facility is very modern.

Therefore, we weren't surprised to hear Nunez state that he was pleasantly surprised when he first saw the training ground.

“When I arrived at the training ground, I was really surprised to see the set-up and the structure and all the trophies here,” the striker told Liverpool’s official website.

“You can then imagine yourself winning more trophies and then later on when you come here again and see the trophies on display, you can say, ‘Look, I was a part of that, I was there at that time, winning trophies'.

"That’s one of the reasons why I came here to Liverpool – to win trophies and titles. I want to win a lot of trophies at Liverpool."

Anfield Watch Verdict

There is no denying that the AXA Training Centre is elite. Having seen images of the place, you'd love to work there on a daily basis. It is a state-of-the-art facility.

The club are in a great position right now. Liverpool not only possess a superb training centre.

But, the Reds also possess a world-class manager and top players.

Therefore, Liverpool were able to compete for the quadruple last season. With the arrival of Nunez, we only expect Jurgen Klopp's team to go to another level.

It is such a good time to be a Red. No one associated with the club should be taking the good times for granted. The reality is, they don't last forever.

The 2022-23 Premier League campaign kicks off in early August.
