“I think this guy" - Jamie Redknapp on Alexander-Arnold vs Walker

Pundit Jamie Redknapp has given his opinion on who the better right-back is out of Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and Manchester City's Kyle Walker.

Redknapp and Micah Richards were recently given the task of naming a combined Liverpool and Manchester City XI.

However, the ex-professional footballers could not agree on who the better right-back is out of Alexander-Arnold and Walker.

“Is this really a debate? Come on, it’s Trent. I don’t know why it is a debate really, the midfield I’m nervous, but at right-back I thought you might have given me this one,” Redknapp told LadBible's YouTube channel.

“I think this guy is always changing the game with his crossing and his ability to set goals up. I think Kyle Walker is an incredible player, but this one, I think you have to give this to me.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

There is no denying that Walker is a very good player. There is a reason why the 32-year-old has made 218 appearances for Manchester City's first-team.

Walker has also claimed four Premier League titles. However, there is no denying that Alexander-Arnold is a generational talent.

We have never seen a right-back have so much of influence on a game of football from an attacking point of view.

Last season, Alexander-Arnold scored two goals and registered 19 assists in 47 appearances for Liverpool.

So, we believe that the Scouser will be talked about in a higher regard than Walker in 15 years time.

But, there is no denying that they are both terrific players.
