"I think it looks good" - Jordan Henderson's verdict on Milner's new look
Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has given his verdict on James Milner's new look.
Since joining the club back in 2015, Milner has never possessed any facial hair.
But, things have changed. As you can see pictured below, Milner has opted to grow a beard.
Henderson said that the Englishman's new look suits him.
As quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, he told the club's official website the following: “I think it looks good. I think deep down he’s having it as well, otherwise it would have been off.
“Now he’s just saying it’s me and (Andy) Robbo but deep down I think he’s thinking actually it looks alright. I’m happy with it. We need to get a little shape-up going when we get back because it’s a bit untidy, but we’ll get it shaped up.
"Give it a couple more weeks and see if he’s happy or not and see where it goes from there.”
Anfield Watch Verdict
To be fair, Milner does suit a beard. However, all we are worried about is how the midfielder performs for Liverpool.
Milner has been a top player for the Reds over the years. He has scored 26 goals and registered 44 assists is 289 appearances for Liverpool's first-team.
Milner is 36 years of age, but he is showing no signs of slowing down. The club offered him a new contract in June, which backs up the aforementioned argument.
We wish Milner all the best ahead of the new campaign. His experience could prove to be invaluable.
On another note, only time will tell if Liverpool are to compete for the quadruple again.
