"I think everybody saw tonight" - Jurgen Klopp on Darwin Nunez against Rangers

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has praised Reds forward Darwin Nunez for his display against Rangers at Anfield last night.

The Uruguay international did not score in the aforementioned Champions League fixture.

But, Nunez looked lively and could have easily found the back of the net at least once.

With that being the case, Klopp waxed lyrical about the 23-year-old post-game.

"The way the boys moved up front today together I thought was extremely, extremely good for only one session working on it, to be honest," he told the club's official website.

"We never did it before, we had now one session with a low intensity because we only played recently.

"So, you just see how good a striker he is to be constantly in these situations. I think everybody saw tonight that this (scoring goals) will happen, so all good."

Anfield Watch Verdict

We completely agree with Klopp's take. Nunez got himself in some good positions against Rangers. But, the striker's finishing let him down.

The goals will come for Nunez. The Uruguay international just needs to keep presenting himself and things will turn.

It is important to note that Nunez is only 23 years of age. In other words, he is far from the finished article.

We wish Nunez all the best for the remainder of the season. The campaign is still very young, so he has plenty of time left to make an impact.
