"I like him" - Arsene Wenger says Liverpool forward can help them win the quadruple
Luis Diaz has impressed a lot of people since signing for Liverpool and Arsenal's legendary manager, Arsene Wenger, has revealed that he is a fan of the Colombian.
When Liverpool signed Luis Diaz in January for a reported fee of £40m, most people expected him to take a while to settle into Jurgen Klopp's side.
However, the 25-year-old didn't get that memo and he has probably been Liverpool's best player every time he has stepped on the pitch.
Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and many more pundits have raved about Diaz since he signed. Now, legendary Premier League manager Arsene Wenger has also sung his praises.
When asked if Liverpool can win the quadruple this season, the former Arsenal manager said that you can't rule it out and heaped praise on Diaz, as cited by Anfield Watch.
“You cannot rule it completely out," said Wenger. "It’s possible still for Liverpool. I would say by having bought Luis Diaz. I like him. I like him. He’s mobile, fighting, looks like he can score goals. He’s a modern football player and overall yes I must say I like him very much.”
Anfield Watch Verdict
Diaz has massively impressed since signing for the Reds and even though he only has two goals, his performances on the pitch have offered so much more.
His linkup play with the team looks like he has been playing with these lads for years.
Speaking about the Colombian, as cited by Anfield Watch, Klopp has already claimed he is an 'integral part of the team'.
"Yes, he's an integral part of the team. It's good. It's fine we speak about him, he's been here a few weeks. An incredibly good start, his age, stage of his career - he can improve a lot. It's just cool how he's settled as a boy and a player."
Hopefully, Diaz can keep up this form and help Liverpool win a historic quadruple this season.
