Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is pleased with how his 2021-22 campaign is tracking.

The Scouser has found the back of the net twice and registered 18 assists in 41 appearances for the Reds.

Alexander-Arnold has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.50.

Therefore, we are not surprised that the 23-year-old is happy with how he has been performing this season.

As quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Alexander-Arnold told the club's official website the following: “I feel like I’ve performed well this season, personally. I do feel like I have performed well. Obviously, there’s always improvements for me to make. I think to top it off is to win trophies (having already won the League Cup this campaign) and have a successful end to the season.

“That’s the aim for me and just to try to help the team win as many games as I can. I feel good, I feel fit, I feel healthy, and I feel like I’m getting into form where I’m really being able to help the team.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

As we have already pointed out, Alexander-Arnold is having a superb campaign.

However, there is no denying that it could get better. Alexander-Arnold made it clear in his aforementioned comments that he would like to win another trophy or two this season.

Liverpool are in contention to claim the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

If the Reds are to win some more silverware this campaign, we can't help but think that Alexander-Arnold will play a key role.

The right-back gives Liverpool so much going forward. Alexander-Arnold is capable of winning big football matches all by himself.

We wish the right-back all the very best for the remainder of the season.
