"I don’t like Liverpool" - Man United forward gives his thoughts on the Reds
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has given his opinion on Liverpool Football Club.
The Red Devils and the Reds do not get along. Whenever Manchester United and Liverpool come face-to-face, it's on for young and old.
Therefore, we weren't surprised to hear that Rashford dislikes Liverpool.
As quoted by HITC, Rashford said the following on the UNINTERRUPTED podcast: “Yeah Liverpool. I don’t like Liverpool. Liverpool have history so it’s a bit more bitter. But with (Manchester) City it’s like you don’t like them, but you don’t have a massive reason not to like them.
“You just grow up and it’s just two Manchester sides. One wears light blue, one wears red. But the rivalry with Liverpool is just deep.”
Anfield Watch Verdict
Rashford's comments don't concern us in the slightest, as we hate Manchester United.
In the past few years, Liverpool have had the better of the Red Devils. Since 2019, the Reds have won the Champions League, Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League title, League Cup and FA Cup.
Manchester United on the other hand have not won any silverware since 2017. Liverpool also defeated the Red Devils 9-0 across two Premier League fixtures last season.
So, it's a great time to be a Red. But, things can change very quickly in football.
Therefore, it is important that Liverpool don't become too comfortable with how things are going.
We doubt that Jurgen Klopp would allow his players to settle. The German demands the best from his players.
We wish the team all the very best ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, which starts early next month.
