"I can't see Liverpool not challenging" - Paul Ince on the club's title hopes
Former Red Paul Ince believes that Liverpool can still win the 2022-23 Premier League title.
The Reds have had a terrible start to the new season. Liverpool have failed to secure a victory in their opening three top-flight fixtures.
Despite that being the case, Ince is confident Jurgen Klopp's team will still challenge for the title this campaign.
"I can't see Liverpool not challenging for the Premier League title - they're one of the best teams in the world," he told BoyleSports, as quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter.
"When teams lose important players it has an effect on the team and that's what is happening with Liverpool at the moment.
"It's not going to be easy if you keep dropping points while the rest of the top four are winning but I've got no qualms with Liverpool - they could easily chalk off ten wins in a row but they need to get their missing players back."
Anfield Watch Verdict
The reality is, Liverpool still have 35 top-flight games left to play this season. So, the Reds can make up for their poor start to the 2022-23 campaign.
However, there is no denying that Liverpool have to perform better (regardless of personnel) if they are to start accumulating some points.
The Reds have looked well off the pace in the early stages of the campaign. Liverpool challenged for the quadruple last season, so they are more than capable of launching an attack on the Premier League title.
Hopefully we see an improvement from Klopp's team in the next couple of games. The Reds will face Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday.
