"I can't remember a worse game" - Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he "can't remember a worse game" in his managerial career as the Reds slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Brighton.

Goals from Solly March (who scored twice) and Danny Welbeck ensured the Reds suffered another horrendous defeat that leaves them ninth in the Premier League following Brentford's 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth in the evening kick-off. Liverpool looked lacklustre against a Brighton side who continue to impress under the management of Roberto De Zerbi.

WE MADE IT TOO EASY FOR THEM

Klopp was speaking to the media after the game, and the 55-year-old took full responsibility for the defeat, with the boss switching to a 3-4-1-2 formation with Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah as the front two but it worked to no avail.

"Congratulations to Brighton, they played an outstanding game. I really thought in moments we made it a little bit too easy for them, but in general they played outstanding and we didn't.

"Fully my responsibility because I had an idea with a different formation and it didn’t work out. So, [I am] sorry."

WORST GAME UNDER JURGEN KLOPP - HENDERSON

Reds captain Jordan Henderson also spoke to the media following today's defeat at the Amex Stadium and believes that this has been the worst game under Jurgen Klopp for the Reds.

"Probably. I can't remember another one. A really tough day.

"It's not good. We're pretty low on confidence. The energy level is low. Everything. We can't feel sorry for ourselves. We have to keep fighting and hopefully we can change it sooner rather than later."

Yet again, Liverpool were exposed by a Brighton side coming into the game full of confidence. With the injury list piling up, no sign of any incoming players and slipping to ninth in the Premier League, it's clear to see why the Reds players are low on confidence. Jurgen Klopp admits the defeat rests on him, but the players as well have to take responsibility. With Wolves winning today and a trip to Molineux awaiting Liverpool on Tuesday night, it'll be intriguing to see whether or not the Reds can bounce back.
