Manchester United's new manager Erik ten Hag has recently given his opinion on Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.

The Reds have enjoyed plenty of success under the German. Liverpool have secured the Champions League, Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League title, League Cup and FA Cup under the guidance of Klopp.

With that being the case, we weren't surprised to hear Ten Hag speak positively about the Reds.

“In this moment, I admire them both, Manchester City and Liverpool,” the Dutchman said, as quoted by ESPN.

“They both play really fantastic football, both Liverpool and Manchester City.

“But you will always see an era can come to an end and I am looking forward to battle with them, and I am sure all the other Premier League clubs will want to do that.

“I’ve already met big coaches and big teams in the Premier League and I know how to deal with that.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Anyone that follows football would have to admire Klopp's Liverpool. They are a brilliant team.

On another note, we do believe that Ten Hag has plenty of work to do to get Manchester United competing with Liverpool.

The Red Devils (the Reds' biggest rivals) finished in sixth-place in the Premier League table this season.

Liverpool accumulated 34 more points than Manchester United. Klopp's side defeated the Red Devils 9-0 on aggregate in the Premier League this season.

The aforementioned figures highlight that Ten Hag has a big job ahead of him.

Therefore, we should be able to sit back and enjoy plenty more success over Manchester United in the coming years.

We won't lie, it has been brilliant to see the Red Devils struggle in recent times. They have given Liverpool a lot of grief since the introduction of the Premier League.
