Arne Slot will be hoping for a similar outcome to when the two sides met just before Christmas with Liverpool coming out 6-3 winners to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Braces from Mo Salah and Luis Diaz, and goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister saw Liverpool secure all three points in dominant fashion despite conceding a couple of disappointing goals later on in the game.

Spurs Manager Postecoglou was full of praise for Liverpool and is relishing the challenge that faces their side on their surge to a first trophy in almost 17 years.

“They are a top side. They’re really settled, I think they have got just about everyone fit and healthy. They can rotate players so they’re in a good moment and it will be a great challenge for us,” the Australian said.

Liverpool have already had to overcome three Premier League sides in their surge to another Wembley trip.

The Reds kickstarted their Carabao Cup campaign with a dominant 5–1 win over West Ham United.

It was two trips down to the south coast that followed with Liverpool edging out Brighton in an enthralling 3-2 class at the Amex Stadium.

Slot’s side then defeated a struggling Southampton side in the quarter-final courtesy of goals from Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott to set up a mouth watering clash with Spurs.
