Mohamed Salah is up for the Premier League's September Player of the Month award.

Liverpool's number 11 has made the seven-strong shortlist after a fine month in which he bagged two goals and two assists.

Salah kicked off September with a strike in the 3-0 win over Aston Villa, while he followed that up with a pair of assists in the 3-1 victory at Wolves and ended the month with another goal as the Reds saw off West Ham 3-1 at Anfield.

In addition, the 31-year-old Egyptian created 11 chances for his Liverpool teammates in September – and would've registered a third assist but for the fact that Luis Diaz's goal against Tottenham was incorrectly ruled out.

Alongside Salah, the following players have also been nominated for the prize:

  • Julian Alvarez (Manchester City)
  • Jarrod Bowen (West Ham)
  • Pedro Neto (Wolves)
  • Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur)
  • Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United)
  • Ollie Watkins (Villa)
