How Liverpool fans are reacting to today's double injury blow

Here's how Liverpool fans have reacted to the Reds' injury blow on Saturday. At least two players went off with problems.

Liverpool love an injury, that much is clear. The Reds suffered at least two more on Saturday as both Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota exited in the first half.

Jones left first. The Scouser tried to continue but appears to have an ankle problem, forcing him off for Ryan Gravenberch early on.

Jota followed soon after with what was clearly a knee injury. The Portuguese forward - who had brilliantly created Darwin Nunez's opener - was involved in a mess of a collision that resulted in him needing a stretcher.

To make things worse, Darwin Nunez didn't come back out for the second half. It's not clear why, at the time of writing, however. Probably an injury (let's be honest) but nothing confirmed as of yet.

So how are the fans taking it? We took to Twitter or X to find some reactions to the double-maybe-triple injury blow.

The win has certainly made things feel a little bit easier - can only imagine the negativity if Liverpool had let that slip. Still, little anyone can do but laugh at this point.

These are just the latest injuries, after all. Joel Matip is already out for the season, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai were already out, while Alisson Becker joined them before the Brentford game.

And that's before getting into Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic.

Andy Robertson is only just back, too, and Kostas Tsimikas hasn't played for a while. Mohamed Salah returned for the first time since New Year's Day against the Bees - that's unquestionably the major positive right now.

But all in all, Liverpool's luck with injuries is incredibly bad right now. 'Cursed' is right - things refuse to go Jurgen Klopp's way and it's only going to hit harder once European football is back next month.
