"He's made this club better" - Andy Robertson on Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has waxed lyrical about Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
The German has been at the club since 2015 and changed things for the better. Modern-day Liverpool are now challenging on all fronts.
The Reds have won six major trophies (including the Premier League title and Champions League) under Klopp.
With that being the case, Robertson has given the 54-year-old plenty of credit.
As quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter, he told UEFA the following: "He's made this club better. He's put us back into a position where we're competing for trophies. When he took over, nobody would've put Liverpool up there for Champions Leagues.
"Nobody would've put Liverpool up there for competing for Premier Leagues. And now we're always in the conversation, and that's down to him and his staff. He's changed the mentality around everyone. The fans all love him; they've all bought into what he was doing.
"Obviously, it takes the boys to buy into it, but it's quite an easy philosophy to buy into when it works, and it usually does more often than not. But the manager is the leader of us; he's the one that makes the big decisions and gets the big calls right.
"I think he'll definitely go down as a legend in Liverpool. When we all retire and look back on it, it will have been an honour to play under him."
Anfield Watch Verdict
Robertson is spot on. Klopp will go down as a Liverpool legend. He has ultimately put the Reds back on the map.
Liverpool were struggling to win the major trophies before Klopp's arrival. The 54-year-old is contracted until June 2026.
So, Klopp still has plenty of time to add to his legacy. The Reds will compete against Real Madrid at the Stade de France for the European Cup on Saturday.
Klopp's Reds lost the 2018 Champions League final to the La Liga giants. Therefore, Liverpool will certainly be looking for revenge.
